Treating a Fever?
DH came home from work this morning with a fever. He's been experiencing body aches and chills all day long. His temperature has fluctuated above 101 and I just took his temperature now and it was at 103.4. I've been keeping him hydrated all day with Gatorade and water and he had some soup and crackers for lunch. He didn't have much of an appetite for dinner though. I've been applying cold washcloths to his head and making sure he stays under the covers all day. He's also had two doses of Tylenol. Is there anything else I can do to help his fever go down? He's never been this sick before and I don't know how to help him

Re: Treating a Fever?
103 is a very high fever for an adult if the tylenol is not bringing down the fever I would bring him to a doctor to get looked at.
Until then just get him as many fluids as you can - and the important part is DRESS him in just boxers or short no shirt or blankets. People make the mistake of dressing too warm or putting blankets on when they have fevers b.c they have the chills - that can cause his fever to spike.
