provera
I have missed 2 periods and my doctor gave me a prescription of Provera? Did it help you get AF and ovulate? What were the side effects?

Re: provera
I havent taken it so I cant help too much. But I was going to this cycle, Im still awaitng AF...and although Im not I aske dthe Dr. yesterday if the period I got would be normal and then O would be normal afterwards, and she said yes. She did say though that not everyone actually gets a period, even on Provera. I didnt thinkt o question why.
Try doing a google search until you get some response fromt he girls here.
Good luck...heres some AF vibes!!! ********

Re: provera
I took it three times.
The first time it took me a week after finishing the last pill to get AF. The second time I think I got AF two days after finishing.
I didn't have any side effects but I didn't have any on Clomid either and I know a lot of girls have.
I think I took mine at bedtime (the same time each night) which tends to decrease the side effects... at least feeling/noticing them.

Re: provera
I've taken provera a few times. I think that you don't actually ovulate. It makes your body think you ovulated because it's progesterone (the hormone your body releases after ovulation). The symptoms I get are PMS symptoms. My AF was a little bit lighter than usual.

Re: provera
I have taken provera many many times and it always makes me get my period, but it doesn't cause ovulation. Sometimes if you had regular cycles in the past your body could go back to being regular after the month of provera. This just recently happend to a friend of mine. For me, it has never happened and the only way I have ovulated in the past year is with clomid. Let me know if i can help with and ?'s!
