I FINALLY had my post-op doctors appt....
...and I think this was the first time I left that office on a positive note. She said everything looked great; totally back to normal and we can start trying again. I am very relieved and am now just waiting for AF
I actually have to ask a very stupid TTC question but maybe someone can enlighten me. She said my cervix was closed. I asked her if that meant everything was normal and she said yes. I keep thinking about it though, shouldnt it be open to get pregnant? Does it start out closed then open when you ovulate thus creating that elusive fertile window? I really dont know much about these things 
Any insight is appreciated as always

I know the cevix is supposed to be closed but I don't know the actual mechanics so i'm not help

I know right?? I wasnt even suppose to go until next week but I called today and told them I wasnt feeling well so they took me. Meanwhile, they blew a transformer or something so there was no A/C in the office and no electricity in half. I was literally sticking to the exam table paper 
Anyway, thanks for the info on the cervix. I really just wanted to know if it was supposed to be closed, I dont need all the mechanics.

I know that when I saw my doc after my d&c she said my cervix was closed and when I asked if that was good she said yes. I didn't ask anything else, so Im no help to you

your cervix will be closed.
Have you read "Taking Charge of your Fertility? It's worth getting from your library or buying since it will tell you everything you need to know about your cycles.
The information in there will help you understand when you should conceive and what signs tolook for.
You can even chart your temp to see when your ovulation will be.

I'm so glad you had your appointment and it went well!! 
I think your cervix does open a bit when you ovulate...I have read that if you check your cervix (which I don't) it should be "soft, high, open and wet" when you ovulate.
I agree with Susan...Taking Charge of Your Fertility is a great read...I think that's where I read this.
