Any NYC teachers moving to brand new classes due to construction being completed?

I will be, I am so excited to start fresh, a clean slate, new furniture... but dreading it.

at the end of the school yr we (i teach CTT) packed up our ENTIRE classroom (40 boxes), now we have to go in an unpack everything and start fresh.

I know ill probably be there monday-Friday

anyone else in a similar situation?

I'm going to be in a new classroom...... but not because it will be all brand new like yours! My principal just likes to change things up every year!! Chat Icon You're lucky though to have all new stuff!! Def worth the move!

Just think....... I'm in the same situation as you with the moving but I'll have to scrub down old dusty furniture with gum stuck to the bottom of the desks, etc Chat Icon

i hear ya penny. we are def fortunate, im sure ill ahve to wash down all the new stff, but it is easier than the old.

good luck to you !!! i hate that principals have to change everything all the time.. that is nuts

I'm in a similar situation - my office was moved to the other side of the school. I "liberated" some stuff from my office before I left for he summer, and I'm NOT looking forward to setting it all up again.

we spend this whole entire week cleaning out DH's classroom... it was an absolute MESS. We found things from 2004!

Now we have to do mine next week... I havent been there yet since its a new school but I hope that its not a mess! I get very Danny Tanner with filth! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I am going to a new building in the boe and I am starting there as new staff as well.. I go in tomorrow--Def nervous and excited.. anyone is PS 65?
