Diapers
So this is a Q for you mommies who have already had your twins. How many packs of newborn diapers do you think you went through before going to size 1? Alot of people say buy only 1 or 2 boxes of newborn b/c they outgrow them fast. but for twins there usually like 5lb biggest when born so I thought we might have to use them a bit longer. I would love to know what you did .. thanks!

I "think" I only went through one case that I bought.
The nurses at the hospital gave us a lot of diapers.
I may have received another case at my shower, so maybe 2 cases.
Figure, for the first few weeks, 20 diaper changes per day and the first few days will be in the hospital.
And I've seen a lot of twins lately that were each born over 5lbs. If you make it to 37 weeks, it's very possible.
I'd buy one case of newborn and one case of size 1. You can always get more but returning them is a pain.

a little insight from an identical twin 
i was 7lbs3oz at birth, my sister was 8lbs3oz 
id say wait til closer to the end when they do growth sonos - some twins are closer to "normal" size

I didn't go crazy buying a whole bunch of newborn diapers. I think I bought a few boxes and than just started them on size 1..even though they ran pretty big on them..

My twins never wore the newborn size diapers. They were right into size 1/2. They were 7lbs and 6 lbs at birth.

All I can say is WOW !!!!
haha thanks!! we were #4 & 5 for my mom so I guess she was good at cooking babies we were also only 5 days early
