Re: Anyone crazyy enough to use cloth diapers? My MIL is trying to convince me!
i have thought about it and researched a little. i have researched the gdiapers too, which are kinda in between cloth and disposable.
i decided i'm going to use disposable at first, just so i can get settled with the babies and breastfeeding and their needs first, before taking on cloth diapers.

My sister did with my nephew. Funny enough when she had her next child she used disposable. So, I'm going to think it was easier to do it that way.
Don't let anyone tell you what to do. Your babies do what you want.

I wanted to use cloth, but there are no diaper services on Long Island (at least there weren't 2 years ago) and my DH didn't think that washing them in our machines would get them clean enough. I was tired of arguing with him so we use disposables.

In the recent Parenting magazine it suggests using cut up t-shirt and spray with water - I would only consider that for pee-only diapers (definitely not the other ). But right now it's not the $3 in wipes killing us - its more like the formula and diapers.

I could even imagine using cloth diapers. I already spend my life doing way too much laundry.

Victoria is a good resource for this. There are pros and cons to doing this. I would let allow anyone to convience me unless they were offereing to pay the diaper service and purchase all of the supplies.

gross couldn't even imagine it...what about all the water wasted by cleaning the cloth dipers. What if you are busy and can't clean right away...pewwww!

Re: Anyone crazyy enough to use cloth diapers? My MIL is trying to convince me!
A midwife friend of mine used cloth. I'm seriously considering this when my time comes. Her babies potty trained soooo quickly!! Average is 6 months to 1 year earlier! They feel wet unlike the disposables. I may end up using disposables for the first year and switch.
