If you've NEVER gotten a flu shot...
Would you get one today if you're going away on Wednesday? I really don't want to have a reaction from it while on vacation...

i wouldnt... i honestly think even if you do nt have a reaction your immune system weakens slightly as it produces the antibodies to that vaccine so you will be more susceptible to other things

No. I get at least mild cold symptoms after the flu shot. I skipped it for afew years when I simply did not have the time to go through the symptoms. I plan to get the shot again, though.

my DH never got one. then, 2wks ago on a thurday he got it @ work. we left the next day to CT for a weekend wedding.
WELL...Sunday just after we got off the ferry he was feeling terrible and started vomitting. i feel the shot kicked his immune system into overdrive and weakened his body, plus the running around of a busy weekend.

I never had the flu or gotten the shot
i found out someone at my house came down with the flu, so i went to get the shot
The day i got it, i felt off
I felt very tired, my whole body was warm and tingling.
the next day, i felt fine like ,my normal self
I have never know anyone who had the flu before, so i figured might as well get it
