DOes it bug you when people refer to twins as "THE TWINS"
For some resaon this irks me. Not only when they call my boys the twins but even when referring to their own or someone else's.
I think it might just be me. I have no issue with people calling them my boys, or the boys, but "The Twins" really bugs me.
Maybe because I have identical twin boys I want to make sure they have their own identity and not be half of a whole, kwim.

For some reason it doesnt bother me. I do not refer to them as the twins but most people do

it doesnt. i have heard it does bother a lot of ppl though.
what does bother me is when ppl make stupid comparisions. like oh how come one has longer hair that the other? umm they are differnt people and it grew differently! or how come one has more teeth onthe top and the other has more on the bottom. or he is the serious one isnt he? stuff like that drives me crazy DO NOT COMPARE my children!!! they are differnt people!

I dont have twins but I am one and I have to tell you its always going to be said. Im in my 30's and we're still referred to as the twins, sometimes its really annoying but i dont think its ever going to stop...unfortunalty :)

It doesn't bother me. When I talk about them I usually say "the babies" but it doesn't matter to me.

I hate the comparisons also. I actually had someone question the the other day if they were twins because DS's hair is longer than DD's.
My own father makes comparisons all the time, and I can't stand it.
