we lost the baby

we found out yesterday that we lost our baby at almost 9 weeks when did you begin to try again? the doctor told us to wait 2-3 months. Also does anyone have any kind of poem or anything related to losing a baby? I am a big fan of poems

I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a baby no matter how far along you were.

I have a few poems. I will FM you. My cousin sent me this story/peom. I love it and got me through both my m/c. Let me know what you think:

I thought of you, closed my eyes, and prayed to God today I asked, "What makes a mother" and I know I heard him say. "A mother has a baby this we know is true." But God, can you be a mother if your baby's not with you?" "Yes you can," he replied with confidence in his voice. "I give many women babies, but when they leave is not their choice. Some I send for a lifetime and others for a day. Some I send to feel your womb, but there is no need to stay." “I just don’t understand God; I want my baby to be here." He took a deep breath, cleared his throat, and then I saw the tear. "I wish I could show you what your child is doing today. If you could see your child's smile with all the other children and hear him say..."We go to earth to learn our lessons of love, life, and fear. My mommy loved me oh so much I got to come straight here. I feel so lucky to have a mom who has so much love for me, I learned my lessons quickly and my mommy set me free. I miss my mommy oh so much, but I visit her everyday. When she goes to sleep her pillow is where I lay. I stroke her hair, kiss her cheek, and whisper in her ear. Mommy don't be sad today I'm your baby and I'm here." So you see my dear sweet one, your children are okay. Your babies are born here in my home and this is where they'll stay. They'll wait for you with me until your lessons through and on the day you come home, they'll be at the gate for you. So now you see what makes a mother, it's the feeling in your heart. It's the love you had so much of right from the very start. Though some on earth may not realize, you are a mother until their time is done, they'll be up here with me one day and know you are the best one!"

I'm so sorry for your loss... It is such a sad and hard thing. This site was so comforting to me. As for when to start trying each doctor seems to be differently..my doc says after I got AF...so thats what we did...but so far nothing..but what will be will be...that's something I learned.

This board is a great place to begin your healing process. I m/c naturally and was able to try again right away. It depends on what your Dr. says and also how you are feeling emotionally.

We waited 2 cycles before TTC again.

i posted on your thread on the pregnancy board but i wanted to say again how sorry i am for your loss our doctors told us to wait 2-3 cycles and i just got my second AF. you'll know when the time is right to start TTC again. we decided we are going to "see what happens" in the next couple of months but not start actively trying (OPK's etc) until the beginning of the new year. if you need anything, please feel free to reach out here. i don't post all that much but in the times that i have, the girls here have been awesome. sending lots of hugs and prayers your way.

I posted on your other thread, but wanted to repeat that if you ever need to talk to FM me, again so sorry for your loss

The OB told us to wait one full cycle, we wound up waiting 2 since I didn't ovulate after my first cycle.

I'm so sorry for your loss... that's tough. My doctor also told me to wait about 3 months, but sometimes I feel like that's more for emotional purposes. I'm no doctor, but I personally feel that waiting ONE cycle should be enough (to make sure your cycle is back on track).

the dr. who performed my D & C said wait 2 cycles, but my normal OB said one is fine.

I am so sorry for your loss. Do what your doctor and you think are best. If he said wait 2-3 cycles I would wait that. Your body does need to heal and so do you. Girls here are great, if you need anything or have questions or concerns.

Im so sorry for your loss

After my d&c, the doctor told me to wait 2 cycles. That was in July and I became pregnant again in November.

If you have any questions or need to talk, Im here Everyone on here is amazing though so feel free to ask anyone or just vent if you need too!!

I am sorry for your loss. It is a truly devastating experience. Doctor told me to wait 1 AF. But I BD last night in hopes of another miracle....I guess I just coudnt wait...
