Not if you want them to be effective Plus it could give you a really nasty upset tummy.

I have a work party Thursday and it will be day 6 of a 7 day prescription..think it will be OK?

I wouldn't. I think alcohol affects the effectiveness of them.

I have. Many times, in my youth. It makes them less effective, but it never had a BAD effect on me. By day 6 or 7...eh, it's the holidays. Just be sure to finish the prescription. I'm sure you'll be fine.

A lot depends on which antibiotic you are on... Certain classes of antibiotics shouldn't be taken with alcohol. With others, alcohol isn't a big deal. What does the package insert say? If the package insert says not to drink alcohol while taking the medication, I think it would be foolish to drink while on the medication.
