Re: Wicked...
I am in the middle of it now and absolutely love it...I find it amazing that he created this whole world, it kind of reminds me of LOTR.

Re: Wicked...
I loved Wicked. I just finished the sequel, Son of Witch. Also recommend the other books by Gregory Maguire, "Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister" which is about the Cinderella story and the other one (whose name I can't remember) which is about Snow White.

Re: Wicked...
Wicked is one of my favorite books...saw the play too and while it was fantastic, it was definitely different.
I've tried to read every one of his other books (with the exception of Son Of A Witch) and hated them all.

Re: Wicked...
I just finished this recently and even though it was bit hard to read at first (getting used to alot of the OZ language), I enjoyed it very much and I cant wait to see the play.

Re: Wicked...
I loved the book. I too have had trouble getting into any of his other novels. Son Of A Witch has been sitting on my bookshelf for months.
The play is VERY different from the book. Much less dark and more pop-culturized.
But also great!!

Re: Wicked...
Finished SON OF A WITCH, I liked it .My girls and I have tickets to see the show in August...I think his "starts", and "ends" are better than the "middles" of his books...
