just to pay the bills

anyone here take a job that has nothing to do with your career or a career interest, even, 'just to pay the bills"? if so, what sort of position did you take and for how long? just curious as i'm considering it. DH has been paying al the bills for the past year and i feel terrible about it. we don't "need" me to go back to work but we've been saving zilch this year and i am beginning to feel like a deadbeat. i'm just afraid of getting trapped in a dead end job. i appreciate all and any replies
