What due date do you go by for twins?
the 40 weeks or minus 3 weeks?
when i first found out i was preg. RE told me due 8.13 then we found out it was twins he told me they usually come at 37 weeks. I'm confused b/c I see ladies that are expecting twins still use the 40 weeks.

My doctor told me that full term for twins is 38 weeks.

The dr.'s and hospitals will always use your original due date as your due date. This way they know hoe far along you are.....so if you go early they know how far along the babies are.
But know for you that you will not likely go past 38w, i don't think any dr. will let you go past 38w now.

It was 40 weeks for me.
I had a scheduled c-section at 37w5d and still had to do an amnio the day before to check for lung maturity. They had originally told me it would be at around 39w but I was having issues with contractions.

I was told they wouldn't let me go past 38 weeks, so when people asked I would just use the 38 week date. The doctor/hospital used the 40 week date.

My doctors went by the 40 week but told me my 37 week date also. So I went by the 37 week date. I only made it to 35 weeks though.

my dr told me full term for me is 37 weeks and they will not let me go past that. when ppl ask when im due i tell them my 37 wk due date, but when filling out forms i give the 40 week date bc i figure that helps them know how far along i am.

I was due 12/8/ They told me to expect to have them by halloween. If not then def by Thanksgiving.
They ended up being born on 12/1 only because I scheduled a c-section. Those girls would have stayed there until christmas if I waited for them.
So I say go by 40 weeks dd
