Bottles

I want to specifically ask mommies of multiples
what bottles did you use
i am not breastfeeding

a friend recommended dr. browns
but said they are complicated inside - lots of parts and i don't know if that would be too annoying with twins

i was thinking about playtex dropins - just seems like it would be easier

so what did you use or are planning on using

thanks

Re: Bottles

I registered for dropins specifically for the reason that the dr browns have so many parts and i wanted an uncomplicated -easy to clean bottle.. However my twins were born 8 weeks early and spent a few weeks inthe nicu.
I need to know exactly how much they are drinking to know when i can let them stop and sleep, so the dropins were not going to work. I tried them one time and they were messy and since the dropin gets sucked in I cant ever tell how much they ate, unless the open in and risk spillling formula all over the place and contaminating it.
So I tried the dr bowns and they are doing really good, alot less gassy and they have a measure line on the side so i can tell how much they got.
also another plus to the dr browns.. or any bottle other than the dropins is that I got this bottle cooler and warmer in one to put on my nightstand.. It keeps 2 bottles cool for 8 hours and warms them in less than a minute so you dont have to go in the kitchen/downstairs in the middle of the night. I love that so much lol.

Re: Bottles

We used Dr. Browns for a while for one baby, and Drop ins for the other, now I use drop ins for both. IMO it gets expensive...I'm ALWAYS running out of liners...I buy 3-5 boxes of 100 at a time so I dont.

I am too used to them but if you have a dishwasher, I'd go with the Dr. Browns...

My FAV's are the Born Free but they are very $$$

Re: Bottles

I started with drop ins for both babies but Nicolas didn't like them and was gassy so he uses born free and Gia uses the drop ins. The drop ins are so much easier. I used Dr. Brown's with my son and liked them too. We had a free sample of the born free and since Nicolas was fine with it, I just bought more.

I use the drop-ins and love them.

I buy the target brand liners and find them to be just as good.

When DS and DD first came home from the NICU and I had to know how much they were drinking exactly, I used the 2oz bottles they use in the hospital. I could tell exactly what they drank that way.
