Can I apply for unemployment in this situation?
My job is moving. Not too far, but far enough that I can't make the commute. At first they said the move wouldn't be for years, but today I was told it will probably be within the year. 
I now work 25 hours per week. Would I be eligible for unemployment as a part-time employee that just can't make the move with the company?

From my understanding, yes. I would call the Dept of Labor though and double check.

Honestly anyone can file for unemployment
quit, fired, laid off etc
It honestly depends how far the employer pursues denying your unemployment benefits.
IN rare cases the Employer can ask for a hearing on the matter.

Also, as an HR person, sometimes they send you the paperwork so late you don't even have time to return it so the person gets unemployment even if they shouldn't.
Go ahead and apply, it can't hurt! And it does seem like you have a legit reason.

I believe so. I read that a commute of more than an hour and a half is considered a "hardship". So if your company is moving far, I think you can claim. But being that it was a part time, they will base your "pay" on that, so you won't get the full amount. HTH!
