Swimming lessons?
Where have you brought your kids? I was thinking about signing them up for the Town of Islip lessons at Byron Lake but then my mom would have to bring them for 2 weeks straight and I wanted to see if there was anything else that might be good instead.

Re: Swimming lessons?
My kids take lessons through the Town of Babylon. In the past, we have gone to Phelps Lane Pool, but this year we are doing the North Lindenhurst Pool. The price is definitely right through the town!!!

Re: Swimming lessons?
Kevin does them at World Gym in Wantagh once a week, 30 minute with a friend. Alex will be starting individual lessons (once a week, 30 minutes) at Saf T Swim in Bellmore next week.

Re: Swimming lessons?
When I was little I took lessons through the Red Cross. We were up at the azz crack of dawn and at the beach diving into ice cold water. THAT stunk.
My kids had lessons at the YMCA in Bay Shore. Nice program.

Re: Swimming lessons?
YMCA I like it alot there. This is only her second session - one last spring and one this spring. She loves it as well. Last year she was in the pike with parent class and if it weren't for that, I don't think she would have went in the pool. this year she is by herself (with instructors) and she is fine.

Re: Swimming lessons?
I think I am going to go with the town pool for now and see how it goes, I like that it is every day for 2 weeks instead of 8 weeks onc a week. By they time they are done it will be the end of summer.
Maybe in the fall I can do the Y or safety swim.
Thanks for the help.
