What will your DC be doing this summer?

Besides swimming lessons once a week I don't have Kerri enrolled in anything else. Was wondering what programs everyone else was doing.

Swimming lessons through the town pool ... 2 weeks, every weekday. May do 2 sessions, depending on timing.

Also (thanks to paulandles912 for letting me know about the program) the kids will be doing 6 weeks of summer recreation at the town park (9:15-3, M-F, minus the lunch hour). For both my kids, only $175. Best money spent, besides our pool membership.

The kids will have the rest of June off from when they finish school and then the second half of August off as well.

DS will be going to camp 3 days a week, from 9:30-12. He has 2 weeks off in June, and 3 weeks in August.

I was thinking about doing swimming lessons too.

I am thinking the same thing. Right now she only has swimming which ends soon. I may sign her up again. And I am also signing her up for a summer dance program.

Katherine will be going to camp three half-days for six weeks. I'm also looking into swimming lessons, but ugh--they're all given at the worst times. The best I've found was at 4pm on Tuesday! I'm also currently trying to join a local beach club, and if that falls through, possibly a pool club, but around here they are Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon ! We've also got a couple of trips on the horizon!

Swimming at the town pool on Saturdays. And my sister will watch her a day a week as well, so lots of outdoor activities then.

I am squeezing one more summer out of daycare to save on Camp! Camp is expensive. Daycare is run like a camp, but 20% of the cost!

They are only signed up for art camp , 1/2 days on Wednesdays. And I signed up for the AMF free bowling at our local bowling alley.

We decided to keep things pretty loose this summer since my ILs are going to be up for half the summer and want to spend a lot of time with the kids.

And just to vent, I am getting tired of hearing from people about how I'm going to be going crazy this summer. It's not as if we're going to be sitting home throwing poo at each other like monkeys, there are plenty of things we can do without being signed up in advance. Chat Icon

Well now that I've signed DS up for this program in Oyster Bay, I've been let go from my job, so it's not so ideal anymore (except financially!) I guess he can still go if I don't find a job before his program ends.
