Does maternity leave affect seniority?
I have had two babies since working for the DOE? Does maternity leave affect my seniority?
With my DD I took a month childcare leave after my FMLA ran out.
With DS I am not taking anything beyond grace because summer vacation starts.
What do you think?

Maternity does not, but childcare leave does. So you will have 1 less month senority.

Maternity does not, but childcare leave does. So you will have 1 less month senority.
I am going to have to differ. I took just a FMLA leave and I was told I am now 3 MOS back in senority then lets say someone else who has my exact years.

whatever time off you took that you were NOT getting paid will affect it. Mine affected me by 1 month.
