Our dogs are in our will with a trust to pay for their food etc. They will go to my sister.

Each time I added a cat I made arrangements to who it would go to in the event of our deaths, and I am actually the 'god parent' to several animals in the event their owners died or were incapacitated and unable to care for them.
I think it’s extremely important to actually talk to people and not assume. Especially if your family are NOT animal lovers, because your beloved pets could wind up at the pound and subsequently euthanized. If your family are not animal lovers, and are already grief stricken and judgment impaired by your death, they may not make the decision you want if you haven’t discussed it before.

I already thought about this. DH and I are going away with our family this August. I am afraid of flying so of course I think of something happening. Haha If something happened to DH and I my parents would get Rocky. Since they are coming with us on the trip my brother and sister-in-law are watching Rocky and they would get him if something happened to us while on the trip. I already told them. Haha

I think friends and family would fight to keep Ollie. She's so loved by everyone we know.
