Why cant people just RSVP!!!
 So I sent out 22 Birthday Party invitations 2 weeks ago - everyone is local. Responses are due today. How many responses do I have
- 7 - Seven.
Yep 7 - I cant believe it. Everyone can't be on vacation.
Im not making any calls just gong to let it ride.
Vent over - thanks for listening.

Very frusturating, especially given the fact that we are in the day of e-mail, texting etc...You don't even need to pick up the phone to RSVP!
I've tried regrets only too....still doesn't work

One of the reasons I hate throwing parties. Not too big of a deal when it's at your house, but when you have to give a count to a party place it's really aggravating.

DSs birthday party was today. Most everyone got back to me within 2-3 weeks of receiving the invite. One mom finally RSVPed on FRIDAY.

My pet peeve that will never go away. So annoying. sorry Fran. I'm annoying and call or email people. I always get, yeah of course we're coming. So.... let me know people. I've got to get the kid a goodbag gift! Then I always get well if we're coming we don't have to call you. I guess that is the norm. here. idk.. and I don't care. I didn't put on the invite call if you want

haha sorry I am laughing bc it's the same everywhere. I stopped sweating the RSVPs bc it never changes. Many replies come after the RSVP date. And inevitably there are the no call people, some of whom show up anyway. I put my phone # & email addy on the invites and it is a huge help. I know sometimes I remember things like this after normal phone hours, so I like being able to email as well.
I would not call either. Eff that. I've become a "pick up the phone right away to reply" person unless I really don't know if they can make it or not bc it can be irritating to have so many outstanding RSVPs.
I'm sure his bday will be awesome and the people who are supposed to be there will be there.

Ok so the party was this afternoon - it was in Jacks words "Awsome" - Champion Tae Kwon Do in Wantagh.
The boys had a great time and Jack was a star, breaking boards and leading a demo. Instructor Frank is the best, he ran a really great party.
The kicker - 2 kids that did not respond showed up. Luckily I had extra TY giifts and plenty of candy in the pinata. So all is good.

Is this the same Frank who works in the Massapequa Champions? If so, I can totally picture the kids having a great time. He is really good with kids.
Glad Jack had an awesome time. I had that happen with no call but the kid showed up once too and luckily my DS parted with his goody bag when I promised him a better treat. You can't exactly hold it against the kid bc the parent didnt RSVP.
I'm happy it all worked out for you. Did you take the Series 7? I forgot about your post on the Career board until just now.

Hi Liz - Instructor Frank is from the Massapequa school, He is still doing part of the summer camp program over there. The Wantagh school is Franks, he has been open since June. Jack loves it he has been going since it opened.
Im still studying I posponed the exam till 8/12 so its really cram time!
