Yesterday my chihuahua got out of the yard!
DH & I left the house about 12 to do some errands.
We were out in Hampton Bays (we live in Lk Ronkonkoma) about 1:30 on our way to pick up MIL for lunch, when I received a call from a girl a few blocks away that she had my dog.
WHAT??? HOW???  
We NEVER leave them in the yard when we're gone. We both thought the other checked to see if they were in the house.
Luckily, my mom was home who lives in the area so she went to pick her up for us.
We're thankful that someone cared enough to pick her up and make sure she was safe. Thankful that we have tags on her so they knew who to call.
Extremely thankful she wasn't hurt.
So this morning I went over there with a small bouquet of flowers and thank you card. The girl who called was about 15 yrs old was so happy to get the flowers. I told her it's nice to see there are good people out there.
I think she almost cried.
Moral...be sure you have tags on your dogs. Never know when you'll need them.
Now I have to go out and fix the whole
