TTC while on meds

I was wondering if anyone takes medicine for a condition and are TTC. I take daily meds, have for years for Crohn's Disease and my dr. is trying to convince me that are safe to take during pregnancy. It is freaking me out, I'm afraid it will har the baby somehow. We haven't started TTC yet, but plan to in early fall. Anyone have any experience with this?

I am asthmatic and use an inhaler and taka a pill, both daily. Not taking them is not an option because my asthma would otherwise be uncontrollable. In my case, I've read that it's better for the baby to be exposed to the meds (which, for me is a small amount- with an inhaler, most of the meds go right to the lungs and fairly little goes into the bloodstream) than deal with the oxygen loss that occurs during bad attacks, of which I've unfortunately had many prior to my current regimen.

If you doc says meds are ok, and you need them, I'd take his/her word, but if you want more reassurance maybe a second opinion would put your mind at ease.

I take meds and my Dr monitors me. I trust my dr's..Iknow they wouldnt allow me to take anything if they thought there was even the slighest chance of doing any harm.

I take prescription meds for allergies. While I could probably survive (though mighty uncomfortably) without them, I would rather not have to. When DH and I went to see my OB/GYN, he immediately knew the classifications of the prescription meds I am currently taking and reassured me that neither I or my future fetuses would be affected by them. A pharmacist would be able to tell you the same information.

Thanks for the feedback, I've been looking it up online and it does seem pretty safe, I mean I trust my doctor, it's just makes me nervous. You are right though, he wouldn't steer me in a bad direction.
