Classroom Themes
Every year I pick a different theme for my classroom. I've had a Hollywood theme, a jungle theme, and an ocean theme for the past three years. I'm totally stuck on what to do for this year. Have any of you decorated with different themes you can recommend to me? Thanks in advance!

Re: Classroom Themes
Hi,
What grade do you teach? I teach Kindergarten in Queens and our Princial REQUIRES us to have a theme, yet WE have to pay for it! Soooooo ridiculous! I need ideas too! I wish I had a way to find someone to give me things for it so I don't have to spend money:)

I teach 7th and 8th...the other teachers think I'm nuts but the kids LOVE themes each year. I'm thinking a carnival theme but I don't know how hard that will be to pull off. I like to go all out with bulletin boards that "match" the theme...I just don't know how I'd title carnival themed bulletin boards.

Re: Classroom Themes
I did a puzzle theme last year. Only thing I had to buy was big puzzle pieces from Michael's.
3 _ _ Completes the Puzzle!
Then I had 3 small bulletin boards and put up:
- a giant crossword puzzle with all the students names
- a giant wordsearch with all their names (laminated)
- kids designed their own puzzle which I put up on the other board.
I had a puzzle border on all 3 boards.
Then I bought carboard cut outs of puzzle pieces (Michael's), painted them, put their names on them and put them on the kids lockers.
This year I think I am doing a rollercoaster/ amusement park theme..forgot the wording though!
