Ouch. Ouch. Ouch.
Oddly, I was told that only 2 of my kids failed but when I looked at the scores 5 failed. And the other 6th grade teacher was told that all of her kids passed, but she ended up with 5 failures too. 
On a side note, with this new info, I'd love to get a jump on planning for fall now, but I STILL don't know for sure what I am teaching.

I heard all my kids passed and 3 didnt  and one of them I honestly dont understand bc I walked around the entire time seeing how they were doing and I dont get how this one failed. Then theres this one girl that I swear should have gotten a 4 on both math and reading but didnt (I honestly dont remember more than one mistake on both tests)

The state decided to revise the rubric AFTER everyone scored them so a lot of kids that had 2's went to 1's. Supposedly these kids are now "mandatory" extended say. The whole thing is ridiculous. One parent was so overjoyed that her son passed and now all of a sudden he is a "1". Just really makes me mad. Our school has a massive special ed population and a lot of our kids who were 2's are now ones. Just another shot to their self-esteem.

All I have to say is ***! I visually graded every child that took the test in my class as they were taking the tests...for the most part they got them allllllllllllllllll right. I don't understand where they lost points. I have kids that got 3s that should have gotten 4s and kids that got 2s that def. should have gotten 3s. I seriously want to call the state and see each one of these tests...I'm so mad.

almost all of my kids went up on their scale scores from 3rd grade -but their proficiency ratings went down :( so frustrating!

i noticed this too!! i had one kid getting the same scale score but it was a different proficiency rating!! crazy!!!!
