Behavior management saying
I bought a palm tree with coconuts. When the kids are behaving they will be at the top, then they will move down the tree if they aren't.
Whats a good/cute saying for this? TIA!

I love that saying, I think it is perfect.
However, I just want to add that in order for the saying to coincide with the behavior system you should start with the coconuts on the bottom of the tree. Then, when you notice good behavior, the coconuts would move up. This positively reinforces behavior ... it also sets the tone that you praise good behavior and focus on that. Instead of the negative behavior. Some students thrive on attention ... even if its negative.

At the preschool my kids' went to in SC, they had an apple tree. Everyone started at the top and as they were spoken to they moved down. When they reached the bottom it was a time out.
I loved this idea. My DD and DS were so happy to show me that they stayed at the top all day. I even thought about using that at home lol.
Sorry I was no help with the saying..I Just love the idea. As a secondary teacher, I don't get to do great stuff like that!
