Are you sending them with ALL their supplies 1st day ( kindergarten) ??
My DS had a pretty extensive list of supplies to bring ( most to be shared amongst the class I'm assuming as only 3 things needed to be labeled)
Are you sending your kindergartener in with everything on the 1st day ?
These are the silly things that keep me up at night

My son's school had the kindergartners drop their supplies off yesterday.
If it's too much for your child to carry, could you drop them off at the school at some point in the day? I taught K for many years and I always appreciated it when parents did that so I could inventory and store the supplies ASAP.

Ugh ...We didn't have any meet the teacher 
Maybe I'll send him in with his binder and folders and bring the rest in during the week

In my district,a parent goes to school with the child for the first (half) day. We ride the bus with them too, so I will carry the supplies. My neighbor has a first grader and she dropped off the supplies at her son's classroom yesterday and was able to meet the teacher.

I got a letter from the teacher stating what supplies to bring which day. Tuesday DS has to bring in 2 folders, crayons, pencils, and glue.
Wednesday has to bring in notebook and tissues. Monday he has to bring in baby wipes and smock labelled in ziplock bag.

The letter requested they bring everything on the first day, but there's no way. I'm sending what I can fit in her backpack & one plastic shopping bad. The rest goes on the second day.

Ditto this is what i did when my dc were in kindergarten, and its what im doing this year as well, my dc are going into 3rd and 1st grade.

I bought the supplies through the PTA. The supplies will be in the classroom the day before school starts.
All I have to give him is a smock and a change of clothes in a ziploc bag.

The school requires that the parents go and stay with the children the first day (it's only a couple hours) so we will be bringing all his supplies with us.

I'm going to try to send it all in the 1st day. I have 4 plastic bags per child and I took off that day, so I hope to just get it out of the way so I don't have to deal with it the following week when it gets really hectic.

We have to bring it on the first day but we have an open house with the teacher. We have to go with our child. I am happy because his schoolbag is heavy with all the suppies!
