I know it's early....but how does reorganization work?
Just wondering.....do you normally get one of your 3 choices?

you arent guaranteed one of your top 3 choices, but if you dont get one of them two years in a row you can grieve- i think.
ive always gotten one of my top choices though

UFT rep also said to always make a copy of your pref sheet (which I never do) because you need written proof of what you put down.

I thought in NYC DOE you were guarenteed 1of your 3 choices. Is this wrong?

I am glad that I am not the only one thinking about this already. I am not that happy with my current grade level. The kids are great, but 3 of the teachers want NOTHING to do with the rest of us. They refuse to plan with us and there is zero communication. I was hoping to move to 5th grade literacy. BTW-i am NYC also.

When you are untenured, you are guaranteed nothing. As a tenured teacher they have to give you one of your top choices, unless circumstances don't allow.
