Nook Lending
Anyone interested in lending books? We could list which ones we have available and update as we lend them out. It's really easy to do, I've lent and borrowed books.
I'm pretty sure you can only lend books bought at BN.com, or at least I've never lent or borrowed a book any other way besides the library. LendMe books on BN.com can only be lent once, and not all books can be lent, I guess it's up to the publisher to give their permission.
There's also a FB group I have a NOOK and I'm willing to share books which I lurk on but haven't lent or borrowed from there yet.

Re: Nook Lending
How does lending work? Does is go off your nook when you lend it, or can you only lend it for a specific period of time? I never tried it yet.

Re: Nook Lending
It doesn't go off your Nook, but it's not available to you to read then. It's marked as "Lent" It can only be lent for 15 days, if the person finishes it early they can return it before then. And then once you've lent it you can't ever lend it again, but you can read it on your own device as many times as you want.
I think that once you make it available to someone to borrow they have a week to accept it, so you could be without the book for 3 weeks total. I think it's rude to ask someone to borrow a book and then take that long to accept the offer. Someone recently did that to me without telling me in advance and I was really annoyed. I don't know why, I wasn't going to read it again any time soon, but they kept asking me for it so to put off accepting the offer and starting the book for a whole week bothered me. It's silly of me, but I probably won't lend to them again.

As far as I understand it, you can't lend books between Kindles.

Re: Nook Lending
i wish I could share, but I never buy books since I haven't run out of library borrowing yet. (And I have read about 40 books so far, so that's a pretty good ratio!)
The only book that I have that I purchased is the autobiography of Slash from Guns and Roses.

I'm in the same boat, I only have bought 3 books and they were all because I had a gift card. I get everything from the library

Re: Nook Lending
I have a French book to lend. Yes, it's in French.
The rest I get for free from the Library so I can't share.

Re: Nook Lending
I don't mind lending my ebooks out!
I have a TON of classics that I downloaded for free, and in addition, I have:
The Hunger Games (Hunger Games Series #1) by Suzanne Collins
I will be purchasing more books soon, and I'll update my list

Re: Nook Lending
If you guys want any of them I don't mind sharing, even if you don't have anything to lend. It's silly to let them just sit on my Nook if someone else wants them.
