sex of your twins...

I know they say its an old wives tale but I am wondering for those who have BDTD if this held any weight with your pregnancy. I am having fraternal twins and their first heart-rate was 117 & 115, second heart-rate was 146 & 140, and today they were both 151 bpm. The Drs office was all betting on them being boys, and now I am thinking that whatever sex they are they both must be same sex. What do you think??

ETA: Both babies measured perfectly and they had nice strong heart-rates...BUT when the tech checked their heart-rates their hearts sounded so different. He actually commented on how different they sounded as he was locating Baby #2s and then when he got it they were exactly the same bpm. I am just worrying that maybe something is wrong and thats why they sounded so completely different cause it certainly wasn't because the rates were different.

I am having a Chat Icon and Chat Icon . My babies HB's were pretty much the same throughout my pregnancy. I'm 22 weeks now and they are still pretty much the same. They've always been within a few beats of eachother. Usually around 150 AND 151.

My MIL told me that the boys HB sounds like a galloping horse and the girls HB sound like a washing machine. I think that's how it goes. It might be the other way around. But that was true for me. 1 sounds like a galloping horse and the other like a washing machine.

I was on the green team all along and EVERYONE thought Chat Icon Chat Icon OR Chat Icon Chat Icon .
Instead I had Chat Icon Chat Icon .

Their HBs were usually insinc with each other and always varied, so who knows?!

Not knowing is really the best, its a reason to push! There are no more surprises we get as adults- its really a great moment when the twins come out.

I am 25 weeks pregnant with twins Chat Icon Chat Icon and throughout the entire pregnancy their heartbeats have been the same..some weeks 140 and 141, and then another week 176 and 175...the drs thought i was having 2 boys in the beginning because of the heartbeats but that didn't turn out to be true. the fun part is trying to guess! Thanks ladies. Just wondering if your LO's heartbeats sounded completely different. Mine sounded sooo different the sono tech even made a comment about it. (which automatically made me think something was wrong)

Re: sex of your twins...

They probably sounded different because of their positioning. I know with my twins their HBs always sound different because A is always hiding in the shadows of B.

My first pregnancy was a single. HB was usually 160-170 and was a boy.

I definitely believe HB and gender is an old wives tale.
