sick puppy
so we think that Joey may have eaten a pice of red onion that DH dropped when he was chopping it. (He is not sure if he dropped anything- how do you not notice that?! men!!)
DH woke up to a cage full of poop. The poor baby tried to go in the corner but was sitting in his own pp for god knows how long. i felt HORRIBLE!!
he got a nice bath and a walk and the vet said dont feed him for 24 hours but that red onions can poisonious and cause anemia. my poor poor baby!!!!!!! if this is what it is to have a kid, i dont wnat one. we were both up at 6am covered in poop!!!

Re: sick puppy
One small peice of onion should generally not hurt the pup. But it's good you are in touch with your vet keeping tabs on the poor baby. I hope he feels better soon, I would be worried too!!

Re: sick puppy
Poor guy. Hopefully it all worked it's way out with the poop.
Growing up, I had a rottweiler who used to get into the garbage from time to time. I remember cleaning up after him in the yard and seeing 1/2 a red onion in his poop (like he didn't even digest it). Now I realize we were lucky. I was a kid and didn't know that onions were poisonous to dogs. But he didn't seem affected at all!
