Did I mention we have a new puppy in the house?
I have not been on here much, but I want to introduce Balthazar, our mantle Great Dane puppy! He is 16 weeks and 50 lbs :) We absolutely love him, and are amazed at what a great family dog he is! Image Attachment(s):

Holy cow, adorable!! I've always had a thing for Danes. I know a bunch of Lab people that have them too, the temperament is supposed to be similar - goofy and friendly?
I can't wait to see how big he gets. What is a "mantle" Great Dane? How did you find him? How long have you had him? Am I asking too many questions?

Never too many questions 
He is indeed goofy & friendly. We did not crop his ears, so he has an additional goofiness factor with the big floppy ears.
Mantle describes his colouring, which is black & white & is meant to look like he is wearing a scarf & a cape or small jacket. He cannot show because of a small black patch on his neck that ruined his white "scarf."
We found him through a local show breeder. We got him at 7 weeks, because the Dame had 12 puppies and could not care for them properly. The breeder was bottle-feeding the pups, and we offered to take him early & do the same.
We are estimating that he will exceed 200 lbs. The Sire is 195 lbs, and the Dame 180, which is big for a female. The Sire was also a Mantle, and the Dame a Harlequin.

Oh my G-d. You must post more pictures---and update often. I think that if I got any large breed at this point, I would have to name it Clifford.
