Same sex twins that share a room -
what did you do for crib bedding? I know from DS the $200+ crib sets are a waste of $$. They never use the comforter and I didn't use half of the other "extras" it came with. And I definitely don't need 2 complete sets (2 hampers, 2 sets of wall decals, 4 curtains, etc)
All I really need are sheets, skirt, and bumpers. I this what you did? If yes, where did you buy yours?

Re: Same sex twins that share a room -
I got one set of wall decals, one lamp, one decorative pillow, etc. from BRU in a theme that I liked. I got the matching sheets separate. No comforters. Crib skirts I bought solid chocolate brown, and breathable bumpers. All from BRU. If there is a set that you like somewhere, you can just buy the accessories and sheets and the rest neutral/plain, KWIM?

Re: Same sex twins that share a room -
I have boy/girl twins but I picked a neutral set and got the valance, wall hanging etc to match and then got pink/blue bumpers and crib skirt from BRU. carters makes solid color crib skirts. I got a few of the sheets that matched the set and then some colored ones. I didn't even bother with the comforter set because I know from DS it was a waster, I just got the extras.

For my boys I got them bedskirts and the bumpers from pottery barn. I never bought the quilts. I never used it with DD and it was a bigger waste to have two. Luckily at PB you can just buy the bedding in pieces. Sheets I just got a babies r us.

I got 2 inexpensive sets that were similar but different. Check out amazon and ebay. Mine were full sets I think less than $50. Admittedly I goy rid of some of it but it was definetely worth it

Re: Same sex twins that share a room -
i have 2 girls, i only had one crib at first so i bought the pink gingham bed skirt and curtain from pottery barn and various crib sheets from bru also the breathable bumpers, then we moved and we got the second crib i went to ebay and got another gingham bed skirt and breathable bumpers,
then my mom became obsessed with this dancing bear set and bought 2 of them so i put the regular bumpers on cause they both kept bumping themselves on the crib and put out one diaper holder, i will eventually use the blanket when they are a little older

Re: Same sex twins that share a room -
Yes my girls share a room, with us also, all 4 of us in one bedroom- so nothing is matchy-matchy.
We moved in with my mom and we are closing on a house in Dec/Jan.
The plan is to keep them in the same room, I can't even think about their bedroom stuff-lol.

Re: Same sex twins that share a room -
i got my set from BRU it was a little cheaper than most about a $100 each. Each came with comforter, bumpers, blanket, sheet, diaper hanger, mobile. i use everything it came with, i put a diaper hanger on each side of the changing table its nice to have diapers ready to grab right there b/c u go through so many. i only have one wooden hamper (the set didnt come with one) i know the others sets there came with a few more things but were like $160 each. And like you said you dont need 2 of everything. also came with bed skirts
