need a miracle
This is my SO's brother. Things took a turn for the worst, he is hospice, life support has been removed. We could use all the prayers you can give, we need nothing short of a miracle right now. He was hit outside a bar in their hometown in minnesota for no reason and now this....it is with heavy hearts that we are planning our goodbyes....so unnecessary.....
BACKGROUND STORY
As many of you know, Adam worked for Delta Air Lines and had been living in Dayton, OH where he recently moved to, from Detroit, to become the Dayton International Airport Station Manager. He grew up in Minnesota and enjoys a beautiful relationship with Laurie, visiting her in Minnesota every weekend.
Early Sunday morning, May 2, Adam was enjoying a night out with good friends when he was assaulted in St. Michael, Minnesota, resulting in a severe traumatic brain injury. The person suspected in the assault has been charged with first degree assault and is out on bail.
Adam was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Minneapolis, a Level 1 Trauma Center, where he underwent surgery. After almost three weeks of non-stop medical attention and a tremendous outpouring of prayer, Adam was sent to Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, MN to undergo a coma stimulation and recovery program. While Adam has not regained consciousness to this point, all of his family and friends are anxiously awaiting that day.
His family, Rondha (Mom), Tami (sister), Chad (brother) Dennis (step-father), Mandy (step-sister), Brian (step-brother) and Laurie have been by his side throughout.
Adam is a beautiful soul and enjoys life to the fullest. He was just about to graduate with his Masters in Aviation Management from the University of North Dakota and was so very excited to have the opportunity to run his own station again.
Adam is MUCH loved by many people, including friends from Stillwater High School, University of North Dakota, and all of his many colleagues at Delta/Northwest, as well as numerous new friends he hasn't yet met through this Caring Bridge site.
The family and Laurie covet your prayers and positive thoughts. Please continue to check back and keep in touch as we move through this unexpected journey.
