Laughed my butt off last night!
My dopey dog fell out of bed int he middle of the night last night! 
She sleeps with us under the covers - usually curled behind DH's knees. She must have rolled over or something and fell right off the bed in her sleep. We heard a "thunk", a whimper, and then she sheepishly hopped back on the bed and crawled under the covers again. Then she let out the heaviest of sighs.

I could just picture it.
I accidently smacked my cat in the middle of the night and he smacked me back!

I love it! My dog Lucy has done this before, too, but that's because she sleeps in such weird positions... like on her back over the arm of the couch with her paws stretched out over her head.  No wonder she falls all the time.
