Does anyone here do Educational Testing?

I'm certified in Special Ed. 7-12 (with the 5-6 ext). I've been giving the Woodcock Johnson III Educational Testing for 3 years now (including testing and writing the report).

I have always used the school's testing materials but its so difficult when you have to share with so many teachers. I'm considering buying my own (I would get just one of the forms..I believe it costs about $700).

Here's my question: If I spend that much money, I would really like to do side work. Does anyone do Educational testing on the side as a independent provider? If so, how do you get clients and how much do you charge (if you don't feel comfortable answering what you charge I understand- or you can FM me). Do you think it would be a good investment for me? Are there companies I can work for?

Re: Does anyone here do Educational Testing?

I do, but for EI. I would do it for CSE but I don't want to buy the woodcock Johnson. I don't think there is that much of a demand for it, since once they hit CSE level, usually a school psychologist will do it. However, I know of a few agencies that do do it. I would say its about 100 - 150 an eval.

Could you tell me which agencies still use it?

WJ may be revised soon. I would consider the WIATT III cause it was revised last year.
