I have a lot of questions
Sorry to come on here and bombard you girls with questions but this is my first time going through this and I really need support from others who have been through the same thing.
How long after your m/c were you able to start TTC again?
How many of you had the D&C or miscarried on your own? My dr is really hesistant to do a D&C, she's hoping I'll miscarry on my own. Neither sounds very pleasant.
How do you ever get over the fear of this happening again?

Re: I have a lot of questions
I miscarried naturally, it happened kinda fast for me. I started spotting very very lightly for a few days and then I started bleeding heavily on Christmas day and everything was passed by the time i got to the hospital. My doc told me that I only had to wait one cycle before trying again. In terms of getting over it, I dont think I ever will. I think I will always be scared and worried it may happen again.

Re: I have a lot of questions
Sorry for your loss! It's so devastating and no one understands unless they have been through it. It's good you found this forum.
I had a mc 2 months ago naturally. I was a mere 5 weeks but had been trying for a year. My doctor said to wait until I finished my first men. cycle to TTC. I wasn't ready after a month and I don't know if I'm entirely ready now....I'm so anxious about the idea of it happening again. I'm sorry again

How many of you had the D&C or miscarried on your own? I had a D&C... it wasn't so bad. The recovery for me was fine.
How do you ever get over the fear of this happening again? You don't. I'm still not preggo yet but I keep thinking about when I do, I'll be a nervous wreck.

Re: I have a lot of questions
Terribly sorry for your loss.
I was told to wait two cycles before TTC
At 6 weeks - strong heartbeat At 8 weeks - dr. observed water on heart At 10.5 weeks, there was no heartbeat
I opted to have a D&C and as devistating as that was...I got through it.
During the second cycle I got pregnant with my son who is now a happy and healthy 16 month old! I never got over the fear of something going wrong with that pregnancy and as I am a TTCer again, it's still a fear that is always there.
I am of a strong faith and that is what gets me through.
Best of luck to you.

Re: I have a lot of questions
first m/c was natural. dr did one blood draw 3 days after I visited the office to make sure levels were down and told me one or two cycles.
second m/c was d&c. Due to something noticed at the d&c my new dr had me wait 6 months. He also had me get blood drawn every 2 weeks until my number was down to 0.... .. which makes me wonder if dr #1 should have been checking the blood more than just once.

Re: I have a lot of questions
did any of your #'s continue going up even after your doctor thought you were miscarrying? My numbers were in the 2000s on saturday and they were over 6000 when they took my blood yesterday and no one knows what is going on.

Re: I have a lot of questions
How long after your m/c were you able to start TTC again?
When I had a D&C a few years ago, I had to wait three cycles. This summer I had a natural m/c and had to wait two cycles.
How many of you had the D&C or miscarried on your own? My dr is really hesistant to do a D&C, she's hoping I'll miscarry on my own. Neither sounds very pleasant.
The first m/c was a D&C, the second was natural. The natural is a quicker healing process and you can TTC sooner. But, the most important thing is to avoid infection and take care of you, so I would do what the Dr. recommends.
How do you ever get over the fear of this happening again?
You don't. When I got pregnant again after my D&C I was a wreck until almost 20 weeks. That pregnancy was great and I had my DD. When I got pregnant this summer, I was a wreck again and did m/c. You'll always have that fear unfortunately.
I'm sorry for your loss!

Re: I have a lot of questions
Im confused also as to why you have to wait for "sono results"??? It's all internal.....they would know right then and there.
If your numbers are going up, why do they think you are having a M/C??
How far along are you?

I am so confused. I honestly have no clue what is going on and neither does my dr. I had to wait for the sonogram results because my dr sent me somewhere to get them done, it wasn't done in her office. When I spoke to her on Tuesday I was preparing to miscarry or she'd schedule a D&C. Since my sonogram last week, a yolk sack has formed. She doesn't know if my pregnancy is progressing or if it ended after the yolk sack formed. My numbers increased but not as much as they should have, according to her. I'm going today for a rhogan (sp?) shot, probably another blood test and she had me schedule another sonogram for next week. I'm still mentally preparing for the worst.
