Deer Park Schools

Does anyone have any info/feedback on the Deer Park public schools? We're looking at houses in the area, but neither of us are very familiar with Suffolk! Any info would be great!

I live in Deer Park and my husband grew up here. He loved growing up in Deer Park. Deer Park has lottery for their preK program, so your little one could go for free. They have recently been in the paper for their Autism programs. My husband who teachers in North Babylon says Deer Park is very good. They have a lot of programs and they integrate technology in the classroom. I think the 5th graders are given laptops. Are they the best, no. But still very good. If you need any advice on the area in Deer Park to look at, let me know.

I also live in Deer Park and teach in NB, and I feel like DP is light years ahead. Their programs are amazing, and their autism program is one of the best in the county. My hubby also grew up here and we moved here bc it is a great area and good schools as well. I don't utilize the schools yet, but I will have no qualms about sending my kids through the DP school system. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions!!! Good luck!!!
