Getting frustrated
I keep myself to a 1200 calorie a day diet. I'm a vegetarian and my diet is really healthy. I workout for at least an hour a day 5-6 days a week. I have been working out for years, but sometimes it comes and goes a little depending on my schedule. I have made it a point for the last 4 mths. to stick to a workout plan. Although, I have noticed a change in my body I still haven't dropped any inches and only lost 2 lbs. I'm in pretty decent shape, but I just want to be a little smaller (especially in the booty are ). Any advice? I'm starting to get extremely frustrated!!

Re: Getting frustrated
I can totally relate. I am very petite and workout SO hard and eat right. I work with a nutritionist and he is constantly trying to explain to me that the less you have to lose the longer/harder it is. The changes you see will be small and slow but that's ok. It's funny that you write this today..>I am having the same frustration. I feel liek I am never going to reach my goals. But try to hang in there and take your time! .

Thank you for the response!! I know what your nutrisionist is saying is true. I need to try and work on my patience with it.

Re: Getting frustrated
Probably not what you want to hear - but are you eating enough? Are 1200 calories really enough?
Are you working with weights or just doing cardio?

I've considered that, but 1200 is a vast improvement over what I used to eat. My body has been in starvation mode for years. That's probably part of the problem too.
I do both cardio and weights. Cardio 6 days a week and light weights high rep 2 days and high weight low rep 1 day.

Re: Getting frustrated
This may sound crazy but I had to eat more to lose weight. I wasn't eating enough. I increased my calorie intake and the weight started to come off again. I have more energy now too.

Ahh okay - I experienced something similar years ago. Your body is probadly adjusting and needs a little bit more time. Once your metabolism has shifted, you should be able to up your intake to 1500/1600 calories with better results. That's what happened to me at least!
In the meantime, maybe you can change the type of cardio you're doing to something that's new to you to 'shock' your body a little (like spinning if that's not part of your routine already).
