i would like to know the answer too.. i didn't get to that point when i had my cerclage..
maybe because it closes up your cervix that your water doesn't break? idk just throwing things out there .

You know. trust me!!!! It will still gush! Mine was leaking for 2 days and i didn't know it becuase it was not a constant leak. then the night before i gave birth, i went to the bathroom and when i stood up it just kept coming. I could not stop it. I put on a pad, called the Dr. went to the hospital and walked in holding my cr otch it was gushing so much . You will know when your water truly breaks.

i wondered the same thing, until my water broke while i was sleeping -- there was no mistaking where all that water came from!
