Wanted: Motivation
The last few years I have let me go. While waiting for our adoption to go through, my dad ill and dying...my mom being sick....so much energy on "Life" things...I didn't do anything for me. I need to lose about 30-40lbs.. I daydream about it...I talk about it....I dread buying clothes...I am 5ft tall and being overweight is not good. My behind is big like my grandmother's was....I mentally find excuses not to exercise. I don't know why I can't get motivated to get 'me' back !!! I talk about joining WW....I don't think DH believes me when I talk, b/c I don't walk the talk....
I need some motivation...I can't seem to find it anymore !!
Any tips on how to jumpstart ? Thanks !

Re: Wanted: Motivation
You sound just like me. I just decided one day to join WW online and the next day, since I payed for it, I felt like I HAD to go. So, that is how I started off. It has only been 3 weeks, but I do not feel hungry and I actually feel more energized.
Just do it! Think to yourself a little bit at a time.

Re: Wanted: Motivation
Schedule your workouts. Write it in a planner, make it part of your routine. This is what works for me. When I used to "wing it", I would always put it off. I only skip now if it is an emergency and then I try to rearrange my schedule to make it up.

Re: Wanted: Motivation
you sound alot like me. i gained alot of weight since i got married. alot changes (job, family illnes, buying 1st house)... but i decieded this year is about ME. i have to start taking care of myself. i'm not saying to hell with family & friends. but you HAVE to make the time. for example, this moring i literally rolled out of bed packed my gym bag. had a great cardio workout. i pushed myself for about 60 minutes. but it felt great afterwards. i know its hard but you have to do it. its good not only physically but mentally. for me personally, getting to the gym during the weat is hard so i try to do some exercises at home or walk (weather permitting)
i don't go to WW. personally doesn't work for me. it does for alot of people on this board. when i did go to the meetings i found them very motivating..
Good Luck!
just go for it!
