Has anyone tried to trim their finch's beak themselves? I have 4 finches, and 3 use their cuttle bone, and one doesn't. The one who doesn't has a much longer beak and it is starting to look ridiculous. We used to bring budgies to Marc Marone's store to have the beaks trimmed, but I know it's better if I didn't have to stress him out by taking him to the store and have someone else handle him.

Has anyone done this? Is there any worry of cracking the beak, like with budgies? Any advice would be great. I'm going to go out today to get a different cuttle bone to see if I can get him interested in it. But if that doesn't work, I think it will need to be trimmed.
