I know it is really high. DH and I have been almost at a point where we were not happy. Kids alone put stress on marriages, and especially if one has a disability. We have been doing much better.

I can totally see that being true. We have had our fair share of issues, we're okay though.

As a mom of 2 special needs children, I appreciate my DH more and more everyday.
I'm also going to throw his boss in there too!
We couldn't ask for a more understanding boss when things come up for our children (CPSE meetings, Parent/Teacher conferences, etc).
I will say, DH rarely is at the IFSP meetings, but, he does take the time out to read every single report and listen to my updates every single day!

Do we argue? Of course we do, but, we talk it out, get over it and move on....Thank Goodness!

I didnt not read the acticle but im sure it is true 4 years ago me and my DH almost split up and with a child with special needs and one with ADHD. My DH had alot of problems dealing with our child (among other things) when we worked things out he then starting dealing with our child alot more, in the long run our issues wound out helping their realationship.

See, I found the opposite for me. Having an autistic child has brought us even closer. We shared the same heartache when we got her diagnosis and we share the same triumph with each little milestone she accomplishes!
It's our typical child we don't agree on!
