Smokey doesn't, but I think it is because he was trained to sleep next to the bed as a Guide Dog. He sleeps on his bed (or on the floor using his bed as a pillow - silly pup!) which is in front of DH's dresser.

Abby just recently started sleeping in the bed. Well actually its more like she sleeps on DH. Sometimes she'll sleep in the crook of my legs, but I think I move around too much for her. But she'll sleep on DH's chest if he's on his back, or on his hip if he's sleeping on his side. It is quite hilarious.
