Weight watchers virgin.

I am fat. I need to loose like 50lbs, to feel like ME. Is this hard? Will i starve? I love food. Chips and dips are not my issue, i enjoy cooking, and i enjoy eating. But, im just to damn big. Can i do both and still loose weight with this. I NEED to do this.

you can so do it! you will not starve I promise if you incorporate your power foods which are zero to very little points in your meals you will be fuller longer. You can still eat your favs within moderation. Good Luck!!!

Re: Weight watchers virgin.

you can do it.
start with smaller goals they are easier to achieve
go to meetings they are very helpful.
you asked can you do both-cook and eat and still loose weight. the answer on ww is yes. you just have to modify how you cook and eat. but people always joke how much they Can eat on ww
ww is a lifestyle not a diet.

Weight watchers is a very do-able program.
You will learn ways to modify your cooking and substitute ingredigents. You'll be surprised at some point values as well.
It does take some time to get used to but once you get the hang out it, its a great program!

I second this and will add another tip. Go to the grocery store right after meetings. The biggest keys with WW:

Being prepared...buy stuff for lunches, breakfast, snacks. Most veggies and fruits are 0 points so keep those handy.

TRACK EVERYTHING nuff said. My old leader used to say even count BLT's(bites, licks and tastes)

If you mess up, just oint it and start again your next meal

Good luck. I am getting my azz back in there. Right now my DH and I are trying to eat clean but not really following a diet.

Re: Weight watchers virgin.

i love WW, my DH and i do it together. the things i love about it are that it's very easy to follow and you get results quickly which means you are more inclined to stick to it.

i agree that the key is to be prepared. go through your cabinets and throw out the bad stuff - high calorie/fat foods, sweets and highly processed food. replace them with whole foods, spices, fruits and veggies. if you like to cook, even better! it's all about getting creative with healthy foods. and you can still indulge and treat yourself every once in a while, as long as it's in moderation.

my DH LOVES to eat and he finds WW very do-able. he's lost 15 pounds so far. good luck!!!

Re: Weight watchers virgin.

I love love love Weight Watchers. Reason being - I don't feel like I'm on a diet.

I'm never hungry. I eat healthier, just smaller portions. There are so many resources now, and great websites, that have delicious recipes - just made healthier.

You can do it. Don't look at your overrall number as 50 because that will discourage you. You will get to your goal but you need to achieve it little by little. Chat Icon

You will absolutely not starve! I love being on WW! I can still eat and I don't think of it as a diet, so it's easy to stick to.
I love to cook and eat, as well. I find that it really helps you learn portion control, as well as to make better food choicesChat Icon Good luck!
