UFT meeting today!!!
My UFT rep said that the UFT is taking the layoffs seriously and thinks that they really might happen (unlike last yr when they did not). He said Bloomberg is pissedd his bill got shelved and is being reckless

Unfortunately, I am inclined to think your rep is right. Bloomberg is vindictive. It's kind of ironic that he would have found the money if LIFO had been ended. But he wanted it done his way, it didn't happen and now the kids will pay and the Post will try to spin it like it's our fault. Again.

Def believe it...they also thought people would be layed off last year. BUT I agree Bloomberg is spiteful and thinks we are useless and has the public agreeing with him...just look at the FHF board on here.

This all makes me so sad..so many people speaking with so much hatred when they really have no idea and no real interest in having an idea about what's going on outside of the $$...I just think to myself, "these are the people who are going to care for us when we are old" (referring to students now)
