So, here is my question about the layoffs and since I am no longer UFT...
My school is slated to loose 4 teachers. Every teacher is teaching a full load and has classes of 34.
What are we going to do? We only have 1 art teacher and 1 computer teacher. Our seniors don't even have a full schedule because there is no one to teach them anything.

WHat I *think* might happen is that ....there are people in the ATR pool. Those people will be assigned to the schools where there are layoffs.
One of the main problems is Bloomberg signed a contract that said people can get excessed and still get paid (forever, basically) w/o securing a job so people are sitting in excess as ATR's getting paid w/o a full time position. It is these people who I believe will take the slots of the filks laid off.
I could be wrong though.

I agree with you on the ATRs, but there are only 1,200 of them but they are going to lay off 4,500....how does that math work?
