Baths

The twins are outgrowing the infant tub in the sink.
With Landon I used the infant tub in the bathtub, but was thinking of getting bath seats or bath rings instead so I could bathe both babies at once.
What do you use or recommend for bathing twins?

Re: Baths

Before they could sit well on their own I did baths in the sink. (separate) Just sat them in there. About 9mths I started baths in the tub (no seat or ring) together.

Re: Baths

They are only 7 months, but big, and the sink won't work for much longer... i am too worried about them falling over in the big tub.

Re: Baths

What about the blow up rubber duckie tub? It would give you more space than the sink but also be smaller and softer than the tub? Not sure if that is what you are looking forChat Icon

Re: Baths

the bath rings are a good option for you.. i didn't use them because i know they would be a waste when they can sit in the tub themselves. i just couldn't spend the money on them.

my boys are in the regular tub with nothing right now..
but before that , i still just used the infant tub in the bathtub and did one at a time.
i just always had to have DH there to help me, which made it a lot easier.

Re: Baths

we had the rings but the girls slide down in them for some reason they couldn't sit up right well in them. We got the mat for the bottom of the tub that helps.
DH and I bathe them at the same time.

Re: Baths

I skipped the toddler tub with the twins (the blow up duck thing) and went straight to the tub. How old is your older one??? My older son is 3 1/2 years older than the twins so, he was about 4 when the twins went into the big tub. I would bathe older son with one of the twins. He was good with holding them up and entertaining them. After twin A was washed, I'd take him/her out and get him/her ready for bed. All while still in the bathroom of course. Then, I'd put the other twin in the bath with my son. Wash, rinse, repeat! The key is to have everything in the bathroom for all 3 kids so you can get them ready without ever leaving the bathroom.

Re: Baths

My older DS is not 3 yet. He is pretty wild in the tub so I wouldnt even think about the 3 of them together at this time.

Re: Baths

I tried , and b/c at the time we had sliding glass doors, the rings were too big and I couldnt really reach the other twin. We had a double sink , so I bathed them both right in the sink , sometimes one at a time, usually together though. They didnt actually use the bathtub till they were just over a YEAR! I sometimes still do a quick after meal bath inthe sink. Love the sink! LOL
