Re: If you were offered a

Doesn't bother me. I worked in a lab for 8 years that was an internal space, so there were no windows. It doesn't really affect me. My lab mate however, was miserable. It just depends on how much you like being in the sun.

Im a teacher and iI have always worked on the third floor with lots of sunlight. Last month I had to move my classroom to an empty classroom in the basement because they are redoing my classroom..I am miserable in the basement. It's a much bigger room but I hate not having windows and sunlight!! I go up for lunch and dread going back down..lol but I am 8 months pregnant so that could be it tooChat Icon

Yes, see I am PG too and I worry that the lack of air and sunlight could become an issue for me.

if the pay is that tempting, do it. and decorate your office/cubicle/work area with great, huge photos of landscape, sunshine, or beaches! Chat Icon

and of course, take breaks and get some of the real stuff when you can.

Thank you.

It would not bother me. I don't work in a basement now and i still don't get any sunlight. Where my desk is there are no windows.....

I would definitely take the new job for more money and just decorate my area to make it more comfortable or inviting.

If I was unemployed and needed a job, the job was what I wanted and the pay was good with a good company, it wouldn't matter.

Also, consider that they could end up moving in a year as things change all of the time.

It sounds like they put more money toward their employees than real estate so this may be good overall.

This exactly

I've never actually inquired about specific workspace before.

I prefer having a window, but it would depend on the job. If I were constantly busy, I probably wouldn't even notice or think about it, but if I'd have a lot of down time, I'd probably notice it more & the lack of light would probably bother me.
