THREE SECONDS F#&%^CK
I missed my goal in my race this morning by three freakin little seconds... I kinda have to laugh thinking about the look I must have had on my face when I crossed the finish line... I bet I looked super pisssed!!
I know I'm being a whiny brat & it's not that big of a deal. I sprinted the last 0.2 mile but just couldn't make it under 1 hour, AARRRGH I should have been just a little faster in those last few miles ::::mad at myself::::
On the bright side, I did start toward the back of the pack & since there wasn't chip time, I'm pretty sure I technically did cover the distance in under an hour... just wanted it to be "official" LOL. Also I placed in my division (athena) so I got an award for that... a photo frame with an alarm clock & an upside-down inscription It's a really cute memento though & I'm grateful & I'll put it with my other stuff I've gotten at races.
Anyway I don't know what the point of this post is but I feel much better getting that out!

Us runners sure can be hard on ourselves lol You did awesome, and placed in your division! You should be so proud! But I hear ya, when you train really hard it can be disappointing sometimes. But don't forget that there are so many factors that go into it...weather, terrain, etc. Congrats again!!

Re: THREE SECONDS F#&%^CK
was it the clock time? or your chip time?
either way 3 seconds is nothing - you TOTALLY met your goal. You even get an extra :59 seconds when trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
