I turned by back for 3 seconds and found my 14mth old...

...standing on my dining room chair. He can officially climb and can now get on the couches as well. Of course getting down is another thing My older son was only a month older when he first climbed out of his crib. Both of my older ones were climbers and I see #3 is too. Now there's NO REST at all for Mommy. esp with the hardwood floors, which we didnt have when the other 2 were in this stage. My mother is happy though, she finally saw me break down and put the play yard in my living room. I have no other way to get anything done around here, make dinner or even go to the bathroom with him all over things and under foot as well as my other 2 kids so I have to plunk him in there (its been an ongoing battle between she & I about kids and play yard usage) Plus he turns off the TV all the time and we have one of those TVs with the lamp that takes a minute to go off and a minute to go on (HDTV?)

Now the fun really begins...

I feel your pain...I have a climber too...and she is getting worse. She is 18mths tomorrow and I have had more gray hairs in the past 4 months since she started climbing....what can you do!!

I am learning the hard way with Lauren too! She's a climber too! Gives me tons of stress because I am not used to it at all, Andrew was never a climber at all! I have the gates all over, but not in a pen. She would never stay in it, its just her personality

I feel your pain! Aly is a climber too - - at 10 mths she climbed up on the couch and also on top of her toy box. At 13.4 mths shes climbed on just about everything in the house. UGH. I cant turn my head for a second. Im waiting for her to climb out of the crib - thankfully, it hasnt happened yet.
